Even The Federal Government is Waking Up to the Bed Bug Pests

New reports as seen on CBS news and other local sites have shown that the federal government is aware of the increasing nightmare of bed bug outbreaks that are sweeping our nation. Bed Bugs don’t discriminate on locations, and are on the rebound – showing up in dorm rooms, hospital wings, appartments, even luxury hotels. Everyone is searching for the right bed bug killer.

They feed on your blood, when you are least conscious and deep in sleep. Many people experience allergic reactions and swelling to bed bug bites (sometimes much worse than your typical mosquito bite). They are not currently known to be able to spread or harbor diseases thankfully, but that doesn’t discount just how much of a menace these guys are. Many who are experiencing bed bugs a biting them in their sleep find bed bug covers very helpful.

They breed and reproduce at alarming rates, and hide quite well in any crack or crevice, folds of mattresses, between the seams of clothing, etc. and can flatten themselves out to near paper-thin levels. You need a real bed bug killer when dealing with these insects.

"This is a worldwide resurgence," said Dini Miller, an entomologist
and bed bug expert at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University, who until 2001 only saw bed bugs on microscope slides
dating from the 1950s. Now she gets calls several times a day from
people who are often at their wits end dealing with the problem.

Many people, including businesses are looking to the EPA to help stop the resurgence of bed bugs in our country. The EPA recently even held a Bed Bug Summit to discuss the growing problem with bed bugs and what can be done to stop it. People want non-pesticidal bed bug solutions and don’t want to have to resort to pesticides. Others suggests freezing, heating, or steaming to kill off bed bug infestations. Luckily, there are nonpesticidal bed bug treatments out there, and steamers, etc. that do help tremendously in getting rid of bedbugs for good.
