How to get rid of Bed Bugs
There are three reasons why you should not try to get rid of bed bugs through the use of insecticides.
- Insecticides are not an option to get rid of bed bugs, because insecticides should never be applied to an area where you sleep.
- There are non toxic bed bug products on the market that are considered EPA 25(b) Exempt and are perfectly safe to use on your mattress and sleeping areas; infact your children can sleep in the room immediately after you spray it in the room. The non toxic 25(b) Exempt safe bed bug products, are also considered highly effective and kills bed bugs.
- The third reason is that bed bugs have grown an immunity to the toxic pesticides currently on the market and commonly used by pesticide companies. Most Exterminating Companies continue to use the same pesticides “that don’t work” because it’s all they have.

•Caulk and seal all holes where pipes and wires penetrate walls and floor, and fill cracks around baseboards and moldings.
•Wash your linen and bedding if possible in hot water. If washing is not available, sometimes heating the garments or bed linen for several minutes in a clothes dryer may work.
•Thoroughly clean the infested rooms with a good hospital grade disinfectant. Scrub infested surfaces with a stiff brush to dislodge eggs.
•Vacuum in area of bed bug harborages with an vacuum attachment; then add diatomaceous earth along the base boards and rub it in the carpets.

Hostels are Breeding Grounds for Bed Bugs
The ways to get a bed bug infestation are countless. One common way to get them is by carrying them home with you from somewhere you stayed while traveling. Hostels, while an inexpensive solution to lodging while traveling, can end up costing you big money in the long run. Because of their nature, hostels have become breeding grounds for bed bugs and a large source of bed bug distribution.
It’s important to take the proper steps to ensure you don’t bring these disgusting bugs home with you.
Firstly, make sure to inspect around the room if you must stay in a hostel. It’s never a bad idea to bring your own bed bug covers with you as an extra measure of precaution. The seams of the bed should be inspected for any brown specs or actual bed bugs. If the specs or bed bugs are present, we highly recommed staying somewhere else.
