Don’t let Second Dwellings Infect your Home

If your second dwelling, such as a motor home, has been infested with bed bugs it is extremely important to eliminate bed bugs as soon as possible before it grows into your own personal bed bug epedemic. A lot of people work on the road and spend large portion of their time away from home. Bringing bed bugs home from somewhere else is the number one way people get a bed bug infestation. Finding a natural bed bug killer is the key to getting rid of bed bugs for good.

Lloyd S. wrote us about this very kind of problem.

Lloyd said, “I have bed bugs in a new small Motorhome that must have been used for demonstration and apparently picked up some bed bugs in the bed/sofa rear part of the vehicle….not the forward, driving section. I get a few bites ……but not in the forward part yet while I’m using the vehicle for transportation.

I also think that none have yet infested my house. I only got a few bites some days ago when I was sleeping in the motorhome bed. As soon as I discovered them in the motorhome I quit sleeping there and have no bites here in the house, or while driving the vehicle in front. So I’d like to eliminate the ones in the motorhome bed area now??”

Fortunately we were able to give Llyod the information and products he needed to eliminate bed bugs from his new mobile home before his primary residence became infested with bed bugs as well.

Bed Bug is that part of a Nursery Rhyme?

I have always consider Bed Bugs to be part of a Nursery Rhyme, “Sleep Tight and don’t let the Bed Bugs bite.”  Never would I have imagined before working here that it was anything but a nursery rhyme. Now hearing customers’ stories they are real and can cause more damage than I ever imagined financially and emotionally. There are daily calls from persons all over the world with this problem and some have been dealing with it for a very long time because they thought getting rid of there furniture  or even moving would be significant enough.

But it is not, they can hide behind walls and base boards, in the cracks and crevices of  furniture and floors. The  bugs can also hide in carpet  and carpet padding, furniture and pictures that are against the walls. They most common place is the mattress  some of they are microscopic that they can get into the seams and not be noticeable.  The box spring, couch, chairs, any dark warm place. And they can multiply quickly if not caught soon an female adult can lay 1-2 eggs a day more than one hundred in a life time. These bed bug victims need a real bed bug killer.

What you can do to eradicate them and take your life back. First thing is to NOT to use bombs that can only drive them further into the walls. What we offer is an non toxic formula that will kill the bugs. We first have our steam cleaner which heats up to 130 degrees which includes a detachable hose and can be used on any surface or upholstery to kill bed bugs on contact. Also we have our On Contact Killing Bed Bug Spray which can be used on known areas to kill the bed bugs. We also offer Diatomaceous Earth which can be used on the carpet and cracks and crevices, mattress, box spring,  and the electrical outlets and switches. Once the bed bugs pass through the DE it breaks down its exoskeleton muscle and it eventually suffocate and die. We also offer Disposable Mattress Bags and Paravinyl Mattress Encasements which are great bed bug covers to enclose the mattress after treatment to avoid a re-infestation of the mattress during the treatment. For the bites that you and your family may have we our Healing  And Protection Spray which will help heal the bits as well as kill any bacteria.

This is a huge epidemic now and persons who travel a lot not just out of the country but anywhere must be careful to not bring anything home with you. Suggested preventative measures.

First, is before there is any infestation to enclose every mattress in your home with a plastic mattress bag.

Second, if you stay at a hotel or even at friend or family members home. Bring in only what is necessary, and whatever else that is bought in should be keep high therefore nothing can crawly into luggage or even shoes and purse. Once you come home from a trip all clothing should be brought in using a plastic bag then washed or brought to dry cleaners  immediately before bring into the home.

Please don’t not do anything thinking it will go away on its own it will not.

How do BedBugs Feed?

Bedbugs survive on the blood of warm-blooded animals.  They are known as nocturnal insects since they tend to feed and usually come out of hiding at night-time.

While one is asleep, bedbugs extract blood in a very painless fashion. During their feeding time they inject their saliva into your skin. The saliva contains anticoagulants and anesthetics. Bed bugs feed for close to five minutes and then they are done. Those five minutes of feeding could keep the bed bugs filled up for a long period of time, so even if they do not have another immediate host, they can survive. And if they cannot find a human, they would then suck the blood of a warm-blooded animal.  Before the problem gets out of hand you need to find a natural bed bug killer.

It’s easy for one to confuse a mosquito bite for a bed bug bite. How does one determine a bed bug bite?

Research has said that bed bugs bite in a linear pattern of three bites, so if you have three consecutive bites on your skin then chances are you have been bitten by a bedbug. Bites from bed bugs are usually red in appearance and are either flat or raised bumps. A bite from a bedbug can show up immediately, while some bites might not show up until nine days after being bitten. In some people the bites do not show up at all.  This makes it hard to determine if there is a bedbug presence in the home or not. Too many bites from a bed bug can eventually lead to one having an allergic reaction to it which may range from moderate to serious. Other symptoms of a bed bug bite are for one to go into a state of shock, get nauseated and even may start to feel sick. See bed bug bite pictures.

As far as diseases go, research has shown that bedbugs are unable to pass along diseases from one person to another. Further research though has confirmed that bedbugs can transmit Chagas disease or hepatitis B in some rare cases.

Bed Bug Infestations in Apartments and Condos

The most challenging obstacle when trying to control Bed Bug infestations in apartment and condo units is that Bed Bugs easily spread from one unit to another. Bed Bugs sense body heat, CO2, and pheromones emitted by humans. Once a colony has reached a point where it no longer has a food source that can sustain it, break away bugs migrate to the next unit through the walls and unsealed bottom plates, attracted by other sources of food in the adjacent unit.

We have had landlords and managers report that tenants will take infested, discarded mattresses and furniture from dumpsters and alleys back to their units, not even suspecting they are bringing the problem back to their building and spreading the infestation! They are looking for a true bed bug killer.

Clearly the problem is complex; especially if you live in a multi unit building. What has become very clear after over 125,000 treatments is Bed Bug infestations are everyone’s problem, and everyone must be part of the solution in order control this Bed Bug epidemic that is sweeping the country.

How do Bed Bugs Feed?

Various bed bug bite reactions

Various bed bug bite reactions

Bed Bugs feed on the blood of warm-blooded mammals, such as humans, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, mice and even bats. In fact, Bed Bugs (Cimex lectularius), that feed on humans, evolved from Bat Bugs (Cimex adjunctus) that feed on bats. When humans first started living in caves in prehistoric times, Bat Bugs that fed on bats in the caves, started feeding on the humans migrating into the caves. Eventually, the Bat Bugs evolved into Bed Bugs, and have been infesting human dwellings, and biting them ever since. If you are experiencing bed bug agony, you then to find a natural bed bug killer.

Bed Bugs are nocturnal ectoparasites, meaning they feed primarily at night, and live off of the host. While humans sleep, Bed Bugs come out of their hiding places (usually a mattress or box spring, but they’ve even been known to hide in light switch plates, electrical sockets, and even alarm clocks) and make their way to their sleeping victim. You main objective becomes to kill bed bugs mattress. Using their proboscis (mouth parts) they pierce their victim’s skin and inject them with saliva, which contains anticoagulants and anesthetics, making their bites painless, and making sure the blood keeps flowing. The painful, itchy rashes and bumps on the skin are caused by the body’s reaction to proteins in the Bed Bugs’ saliva.

Bed Bugs are stealthy parasites, they will rarely climb onto their victim to feed. They usually feed from a close enough vantage point, to where only their mouth is touching the person, meaning they never feel a thing and stay asleep longer. Immature Bed Bugs can usually get their fill of a blood meal in just a few minutes, while adults will often feed for ten to fifteen minutes. Bed Bugs will sometimes pierce a person’s skin several times while feeding, causing a row of bites sometimes referred to “breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” If bed bugs are feeding on you in your sleep many people find bed bug covers helpful.

Everyone’s skin is different, and many people react very differently to the Bed Bugs saliva. Bed Bug bites may show up instantly after the insect has fed, while some people’s skin never reacts, and shows no signs or symptoms of Bed Bugs feeding. As you can see from the pictures, Bed Bug bites sometimes show up as red bumps on the skin. Since individual Bed Bug bites resemble other insect bites, it is often difficult to properly diagnosis a Bed Bug infestation on bites alone, as they could also be attributed to mosquitoes, ants, and even spiders.

To properly identify a Bed Bug infestation, it is often necessary to find physical evidence of the bugs, such as molted exoskeletons, eggs, “blood spotting” on sheets, mattress, or pillows, or even actual BedBugs.

If you have identified a bed bug infestation, you need to take action immediately and find a organic bed bug killer.
