Bed Bug Pictures

Bed Bug Pictures are available on this page to provide you information about bed bugs, what bed bugs look like and to provide you with more information on what to look for.

Bed Bugs are very small insects – the mature adult is close to a quarter of inch in size – that live on the blood of animals and, most upsetting, humans. Although not a flying animal they do retain the ability to move at speed, and are prone to rapid expansion as a result.  By looking at the bed bug pictures, you can easily see howsmall they are.

The Bed Bug infestation is a worldwide one, as these miniscule creatures are understood to have spread from their natural habitat in the Asian continent to the rest of the earth. It is far from unknown to undergo an infestation of Bed Bugs, but what is vital is that we understand where they live, how to find them and what to do about them.

The female Bed Bug will lay eggs by the day; as she can live for amazing lengths of time – over a year – this brings about a natural explosion of the Bed Bug colony. Recognizing when Bed Bugs are there is imperative, and there are tell-tale markers that one should look for as a starting point.  Taking advantage of these Bed Bug Pictures will help you determine if you have a bed bug infestation.

First it is important that we know of the Bed Bugs preferred method of living: it is active at night – when we are dozing – and this is our first tell tale pointer to the presence of Bed Bugs. The bug will dine during the night, and as it feeds on our blood it leaves behind symptoms of its presence.

It feeds by biting into the skin and pushing in a tube with which it eats out the required energy supply. The person will be unlikely to know they are being eaten as they are generally asleep, but the reactions that follow should be indicative enough that something is amiss.

After feeding – which can last for ten minutes – the Bed Bug leaves behind a red welt, although symptoms can vary between cases. The red welt – a usual symptom – may swell and is likely to itch all the time, meaning irritation and annoyance to the sufferer.   Bed Bug Pictures of Bed bug bites are also shown on this web page.

The problem with spotting it is that the indications of Bed Bugs are very much alike a number of similar skin infections: Scabies renders very similar signs, and various insect bites such as mosquito can also leave behind a similar swollen mark. For this reason it is frequently the case that Bed Bugs are not spotted or ignored, and this can lead to the insects moving further as they remain free.  Also included on this web page are Bed Bug Bites Pictures and Scabies Bites Pictures.  This will allow you to tell the difference of your bed bug symptoms.

How do Bed Bugs Feed?

Various bed bug bite reactions

Various bed bug bite reactions

Bed Bugs feed on the blood of warm-blooded mammals, such as humans, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, mice and even bats. In fact, Bed Bugs (Cimex lectularius), that feed on humans, evolved from Bat Bugs (Cimex adjunctus) that feed on bats. When humans first started living in caves in prehistoric times, Bat Bugs that fed on bats in the caves, started feeding on the humans migrating into the caves. Eventually, the Bat Bugs evolved into Bed Bugs, and have been infesting human dwellings, and biting them ever since. If you are experiencing bed bug agony, you then to find a natural bed bug killer.

Bed Bugs are nocturnal ectoparasites, meaning they feed primarily at night, and live off of the host. While humans sleep, Bed Bugs come out of their hiding places (usually a mattress or box spring, but they’ve even been known to hide in light switch plates, electrical sockets, and even alarm clocks) and make their way to their sleeping victim. You main objective becomes to kill bed bugs mattress. Using their proboscis (mouth parts) they pierce their victim’s skin and inject them with saliva, which contains anticoagulants and anesthetics, making their bites painless, and making sure the blood keeps flowing. The painful, itchy rashes and bumps on the skin are caused by the body’s reaction to proteins in the Bed Bugs’ saliva.

Bed Bugs are stealthy parasites, they will rarely climb onto their victim to feed. They usually feed from a close enough vantage point, to where only their mouth is touching the person, meaning they never feel a thing and stay asleep longer. Immature Bed Bugs can usually get their fill of a blood meal in just a few minutes, while adults will often feed for ten to fifteen minutes. Bed Bugs will sometimes pierce a person’s skin several times while feeding, causing a row of bites sometimes referred to “breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” If bed bugs are feeding on you in your sleep many people find bed bug covers helpful.

Everyone’s skin is different, and many people react very differently to the Bed Bugs saliva. Bed Bug bites may show up instantly after the insect has fed, while some people’s skin never reacts, and shows no signs or symptoms of Bed Bugs feeding. As you can see from the pictures, Bed Bug bites sometimes show up as red bumps on the skin. Since individual Bed Bug bites resemble other insect bites, it is often difficult to properly diagnosis a Bed Bug infestation on bites alone, as they could also be attributed to mosquitoes, ants, and even spiders.

To properly identify a Bed Bug infestation, it is often necessary to find physical evidence of the bugs, such as molted exoskeletons, eggs, “blood spotting” on sheets, mattress, or pillows, or even actual BedBugs.

If you have identified a bed bug infestation, you need to take action immediately and find a organic bed bug killer.

Bed Bugs Are Everywhere

This is a very important blog, because this involves everybody from infants to the elderly. This topic is for everybody.  Bedbugs are taking over the world and it has become an epidemic. A lot of people wouldn’t think this could happen in their homes but guess again, these bugs are everywhere. A lot of people tend to say “why me!” It’s sad to say that bed bugs don’t discriminate. I’ve heard many people ask if having bed bugs makes them a dirty person. I tell our customers all of the time that bed bugs would prefer to inhabit a cleaner home. Bed bugs find a host and stick with that same one. They feed on human blood. “They are like unwanted guest”! I just want to inform you, you are not alone even people that you wouldn’t even imagine have bed bugs. Since I’ve been working here at Qbased Solutions, I learned a lot about bed bug infestations and bed bug treatments. I travel all of the time and sleep at quality Hotels and never dreamed of this sort of stuff.  As I look back I wonder if those beds had bed bugs in them.  I am so cautious now when I go to Hotels, I spray the bed with our natural bed bug killer, Dead Bed Bugs Contact Killing Spray, and everything in the room before my family comes in.  I know that some Hotels do not change the sheets because that is what the guest request, to wait until they check out, “not Me,” I always had them change the sheets for many other reasons but i’m glad i did. As my family and I travel i make sure to check the rooms as if I were a detective or an inspector. This may sound funny but it isn’t.  Since I have been working in customer service I have had so many calls with the same conversation, “Help!! I have bed bugs!!!” I feel for these people, some people have even gone as far as throwing away all of their furniture or even moved to another place.

I have educated so many of my customers by telling them even though you throw away the furniture, and buy new furniture, the bugs will still be there until they treat the whole house. I let them know about bed bugs covers . Throwing out furniture is like throwing away hard earn money and with inflation the way it is nobody has money to throw away…Even if you move to a new location.

Thankfully, our bed bug treatment is so effective our customers will never have to worry about getting bed bug in their homes again.
