Mosquito bites are the most similar to bed bug bites. This is largely due to the fact that they both inject an anticoagulant that humans are allergic to. Each person reacts differently to bed bug bites. Some may have a much stronger reaction than others.
After being bitten by a bed bug your skin will become red, raised and inflammed. This may subside within 24 hours if no new bites occur. In addition to the anticoagulant that bed bugs inject, they also inject an anithestic so that you don’t wake up. Check out the video below to learn a little more about this process.
Other bug bites can also resemble bed bug bites, but mosquitos are the most likely candidate.
